The matter relating to overseeing the mandate of utilizing Information Technology for efficient delivery of services was under active consideration of Government for sometime past. After careful consideration, the Government have been pleased to designate the Orissa Computer Application Centre (OCAC), a State Government Agency to function as the Technical Directorate under the Department of Information Technology. It will carry out specific mandate of the Government as and when assigned. The head of the Agency i.e. the Chief Executive is designated as the Ex-officio Deputy Secretary/ Joint Secretary/ Additional Secretary, as the case may be, depending on his seniority. The officer so designated will be part of the administrative Department i.e. the Department of Information Technology.
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O.R No.287ESIII dt.14.07.2003.
ORDER: ORDERED THAT THIS RESOLUTION BE PUBLISHED IN THE NEXT ISSUE OF THE ORISSA GAZETTEE AND COPIES BE FORWARDED TO ALL CONCERNED.
