IT/ITES sector, over the last 5-10 years, has emerged as one of the
major provider of employment opportunities to Engineering, MCA, MBA and
graduates from the general streams. Not only engineering graduates from
the IT, Computer Sciences and Electronics & Telecom but also an
appreciable number of graduates from other branches of engineering like
Electrical, Mechanical & Civil find jobs in the IT industry.

gaps that
need to be
bridged to

the students

organize
training
programmes
on a wider
scale at an
affordable
cost through
suitable
training
inputs
through
trainers/institutions
with
adequate
exposure and
experience
in the area.

Organize
large scale
placement
programmes
to offer
suitable
opportunities
to those
successfully
completing
the training
programmes.

Counselling
for those
who do not
qualify in
the
placement
enhancement
of skills or
pursue
alternative
career
options.

Keep in
touch with
leading ITES/BPO
industry to
design the
training
programme to
suit their
changing
requirements.

Interact
with leading
BPO industry
leaders and
creating an
enabling
environment
to attract
them to set
up centres
in Orissa.
